                                                                                                  Julia Armstrong, Registered Physiotherapist graduated from the Mohawk/McMaster Physiotherapy Program in 1979 and obtained her B.H.Sc.(PT) in 1982. She has worked in a variety of positions at Parkwood Hospital including staff physiotherapist and Clinical Instructor. In 1988 she took on the position of Director of Rehabilitation at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. In July 1996, St. Marys Community Rehabilitation was opened offering physiotherapy in a community setting. Julia’s areas of special interest include neuro rehabilitation, workplace injuries and acupuncture. She is available for ADP assessments for walkers and wheelchairs.

Paula Wilcox, Registered Physiotherapist graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1990. She has been employed as physiotherapy staff at Victoria Hospital and University Hospital on the Neurosciences Unit. More recently she worked with the Rehabilitation staff at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, both as Director of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapist. She comes to St. Marys Community Rehabilitation as of the Fall of 2003 with a keen interest in muscle imbalances and sports injuries. She is able to treat temporomandibular joint(TMJ) problems.

Jay Shaw, Registered Physiotherapist graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2010 with his Master’s in Physical Therapy. He is currently continuing his education through his research on improving health care and rehabilitation as he works toward his PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences also at the University of Western Ontario. His advanced research training brings a unique understanding of how to incorporate research evidence into physiotherapy practice. His areas of special interest include working with older adults, chronic pain, and strategies for improving health services.

 

 

Tawnya Jackson, Kinesiologist graduated from the University of  Western Ontario in 2006. She assists with providing personal and group exercise programs as well as physiotherapy services. She has training in rehabilitation therapy for acquired brain injury and ergonomics. 

         

 

 

Chelsea Coghlin, Kinesiologist, graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2010 obtaining an Honors Specialization degree in Kinesiology with a double major in Rehabilitation Sciences.  Chelsea assists with physiotherapy services, as well as providing group exercise programs in long term care. She is a member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association, a Can-Fit-Pro Fitness Instructor, and an NCCP(National Coaching Certification Program) Certified Coach. At night, Chelsea teaches dance at a studio in Stratford, to students as young as 2 and as old as 65, and is a certified instructor through ADAPT (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers).  She looks forward to continuing her education, and gaining clinical experience.

Susan Hrovat, Social Worker has had extensive clinical experience in rehabilitative healthcare, disability management and vocational consulting. She is able to deliver services to individuals, couples and groups who have experienced trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress and chronic pain. Her strengths include psychosocial assessments, goal identification, individualized service planning, advocacy and coordination of resources within diverse populations and age groups. Sue obtained her Masters degree in Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University. She is a registered social worker as well as a registered rehabilitation practitioner. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Developmental Psychology and has completed several college training courses in career development and developmental services. 

Olivia Galloway, Registered Massage Therapist graduated from D'Arcy Lane School of Massage Therapy in June of 2010. She has participated in various community events such as UWO Track and Field, Hospice London, Parkwood Hosipital - massaging both nurses and patients, Walk for Memories, Dragon Boat Festival, and many more. She enjoys working with a variety of people and would love to become further involved in the community by offering massage days for businesses in the St. Marys area – see Contact Us to book a day. She is very determined to help each client on an individual basis, hoping to focus on helping them achieve certain goals ie: improving posture, improving muscular strength/coordination, and just helping people who want to set aside an hour for themselves to maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle.
