Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I make an appointment?

Please call the clinic at 519-284-0904 to make an appointment. For Massage Therapy, you can contact the Massage Therapist directly at 519-301-6880. You can also e-mail the clinic with your name and contact information. Providing times that you are available for appointments will make it easier for us to book you in.

Q. For Physiotherapy or Massage Therapy, should I make an appointment now or wait for a few weeks to see if I get better?

Generally, acute injuries, those that have been present for a short while, are easier to rehabilitate. Sometimes one or two sessions concentrating on education and exercise are all you need to get you on your way to recovery.

Special Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Programs of Care are in place to provide quick access to treatment for workers with acute low back and upper extremity injuries. For example, workers with acute low back injuries must have 3 treatment sessions within 30 days of the injury date.

For those that have a whiplash injury resulting from a motor vehicle accident, the insurance industry also requires treatment within 21-28 days to access the Whiplash Associated Injuries Program.

The initial assessment which includes treatment is $80.00 and follow-up appointments are $40.00. Q. How do I pay for services?

Fees for all clinic services are in accordance with Ontario professional fee guidelines. Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy and Social Work staff are registered health professionals. Services at the clinic are not covered by OHIP. If you have extended health care coverage, check to see what coverage you have for the service you require. Different policies have different coverage. For example, you might have 80% coverage or a limit of $500.00. We are able to accept Visa, Mastercard, Debit, cash or cheque payment. We ask that you pay by cheque or cash for Massage Therapy treatment.

It is our policy that patients pay for their first visit at the time of attendance, and we ask for per visit or weekly payment for your account thereafter. We require 24 hour notice for cancellations and missed appointments will be billed accordingly. Your insurance plan will not cover this fee.

Q. Is there any coverage that can be billed directly by the clinic?

Greenshield, Veterans Coverage, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and some motor vehicle insurance can be billed directly to the carrier.

Q. If I need an appointment, should I go to my family Doctor or just call the clinic?
