ATTENTION STROKE SURVIVORS The Saebo Arm Training Program is a new treatment approach for individuals suffering from a neurological injury such as a stroke. It involves the use of an orthotic to maximize arm and hand function. Patients incorporate their affected arm and hand functionally for grasp and release, task-specific activities that are volitionally based. That is, the muscles in your hand are used to activate the orthosis.
Its main purpose is to help with early initiation of functional grasp and release activities with the involved arm and hand. This will allow immediate use of the hand and arm in therapy and at home which would otherwise be impossible. The orthoses may stimulate new functional gains in the hand and throughout the entire arm.

There are specific criteria required for an individual to be able to participate in the program described. Call the clinic at 519-284-0904 if you are interested!
